CIRIN Biotech is focusing on indigenous production, in phases, of vaccines mainly addressing healthcare needs of people exposed to diseases common in a third world country. Pakistan is homeland of 150million people. Unfortunately, of these, a significantly large number live in extremely unhealthy environment. Many are exposed to diseases (now extinct in developed countries) like tetanus, measles, polio, tuberculosis etc. Every year organizations like, WHO, UNESCO, EPC, GAVI and Government of Pakistan itself, spends a huge amount to provide people immunization from these diseases. This is not a small ask and every bit of effort from members of society do count.
CIRIN, realizing
its role as a responsible member of society, has embarked
upon a mission to contribute in whichever way we can. This
is a project extremely relevant in today’s world and much
needed at this time. |
